Day 2

Today we went Cox Arboretum and made a Haiga poem. This morning we made Haiga poem which is a Japanese version of Haiku, but it uses an image explain the main idea. We used the picture that we took yesterday from exploring the nature around us. This expanded my knowledge of creating imagery poems and was challenge for me. We went to the Arboretum afterward, we were given a scavenger hunt to do while we were exploring there. We formed groups, my group was with Rachelle Hudson, Rachel Woodroof, Emily Woodroof, and Mason Osten.  We started the scavenger hunt with finding flowers, in the wildflower area. They were brightly colored and in high bloom. We also found many types of trees, animals and many different types of plant life.

We went to an edible garden where we tasted a flower called passion fruit. It had the most unique taste, it was sweet and had herbal flavor. We went to the tree tower where the entire park could be seen. We also went on a trail that led us deep into the woods and to different parts of the park. We went into the main building where we played a game, with this game we learned how many different factors affect life. I enjoyed taking many pictures, I never realized how beautiful nature could be when you explore. This scavenger hunt helped to make me realize how much beauty is in nature.
